Kasa Obake

This Yokai Kasa Obake (Karakasa Kozo) is popular and appears often in legends and caricatures. They are silly looking and mostly considered fun for the sake of fun.

They typically have a single eye and one leg that they hop around on. They sometimes have two arms and sometimes none. Their body is made of a paper umbrella and they have an unusually long tongue. They are not a fearsome yokai. Their favorite habit is to sneak up on humans and give them a big oily lick which is meant to be surprising and maybe a little gross but not dangerous in any way.
