Monkey King

The Monkey King is called Sungoku in Japan and more popularly Sun Wukong the Chinese version. He is often considered a God.
Songoku possesses a large array of abilities. He has enormous strength. He is able to carry mountains and run at the speed of a shooting star. He has 72 unique powers, including transforming into other creatures and objects. He is a very skilled fighter. Even his hair has magical powers giving him the ability to multiply. He can manipulate the weather and can freeze people in place.
He is also rebellious, being a monkey and angered the heavens with his arrogance. He spent 500 years under a rock before he was released in order to help bring Buddhism back to China. For this he is believed to have contributed to the inception of Buddhism in China and through China-Japan. He is very intelligent and learned his powers through Taoism.
He is depicted with the face of a tamarind and the body of a man, while dressed in a suit of armor and carries the magical golden-banded staff called Ruyi Jingo Bang.
