The Kirin is often considered a god. They are also considered the most sacred beast of all. Usually shown with the body of a deer, head of a dragon, scales of a fish, hooves of a horse, mane of a lion, tail of an ox and a single or set of horns, they are often considered the unicorns of the east. Unlike the unicorn, its' body and mane are covered in bright holy fire and its' face is the picture of utter serenity.
Kirin are seen as symbols of justice and wisdom. They are vegetarian and take great care not to harm other living things. They won't step on an insect or even a blade of grass. Also, the Kirin only appears during times of world peace.
Even though the Kirin is a symbol of peace and would never harm good or pure beings, they can attack fiercely when threatened breathing fire from their mouths.
